This Cool Site of the Day (for 12/10) is AltaAeros Energies (#altaeroswind), a kickass awesome way to harness big wind power in a mobile, low power way. The Altaeros Buoyant Airborne Turbine (BAT; pictured above) leverages aerospace technology to lift a wind turbine into the winds beyond the reach of traditional towers (amazing). The completely automated, rapidly deployable system can safely and effectively bring wind power to remote sites that use expensive fossil fuel electricity today. Love it! Vote for it here and give it a 'thumbs up' above.
