Shawn Achor: The happy secret to better work

We believe that we should work to be happy, but could that be backwards? In this fast-moving and entertaining talk from psychologist Shawn Achor (a national treasure) he argues that happiness inspires productivity and creativity.

Watch this all the way through (10 min?) and dare NOT to start your own 21-day journal, etc. Seriously, post your thoughts below and share this with your friends… for the love of happiness.

The secret is to be grateful for what you have. Even if you are living in a cardboard box you have to be able to pick one thing out of your life that you are grateful for. My peresonal happiness comes from having a relationship with Jesus Christ. I don’t have a lot of money but I feel rich because of Jesus. I am grateful for every little thing.

Shawn’s logic makes sense. Easy enough to do: write down 3 positive things in your life for 21 days. Could anything be simpler? Check me on 2/24/12 (not counting today;)
