Today's Cool Site of the Day is #DropBox, a place to store all of your important files, photos, videos, etc. (#cloudstorage) I use Google Drive, Evernote, and, mostly, DropBox  for EVERYTHING. So, when you hear something that sounds complicated like 'cloud storage solutions' just think "hey, Dropbox has got me covered". Add this page to your ‘cool stuff / utilities' related bookmarks. And see and vote for today’s site here (on the day of this post) and give it a ‘thumbs up’…and, of course, SHARE THIS POST (links below)! To find all previous cool sites since 1994, visit our archive.

Image Splitter is the kind of tool every webmaster/blogger uses on a regular basis. What I like about it is the simplicity. If you need to convert, crop, or resize images for your site, check out Image Splitter and give it a high rating (click 'See Today's Site' on the right). Mike

Could be the best option for hosting video on your site -  Once the Cool Site of the Day makeover is complete you'll probably see me moving away from embedding youtube code on Cool Site of the Day and, instead, going with something as elegant and simple as Wistia. Check out this video to see some of the latest features they've added to this already superb product.   Click here to begin your free trial of Wistia.   PLEASE RATE THIS SITE: If you’re seeing this on January 13, click the ‘See Today’s Site‘  link and give it a rating from 1-10. Shoot panoramic video -  Dot™ is a stylish and durable lens attachment that snaps onto your iPhone 4 and lets you shoot 360° panoramic videos from the palm of your hand. As you watch the video, click and move your mouse. VERY cool. Visit the Kogeto website for more info. PLEASE RATE THIS SITE: If you’re seeing this on January 2, click the ‘See Today’s Site‘  link and give it a rating from 1-10. Mike

Keep sensitive info out of your chat logs & email - I got a nice email reply from my wife after she opened the secret message I sent her (hint, hint). Bottom line: when you send people passwords and private links via email or chat, there are copies of that information stored in many places. If you use a one-time link instead, the information exists for a single viewing which means it can't be read by someone else later. This allows you to send sensitive information in a safe way knowing it's seen by one person only. Think of it like a self-destructing message.
