Those of you who have been following me for the past couple of years have noticed that I’ve been testing (read: struggling with) various blogging platforms. First, I setup my blog using Google’s blogger platform then, realizing that Wordpress is the shit, I ported everything over to Wordpress. The only problem with Wordpress is that you’ve got to find the right Wordpress Theme and I was going through Themes like toilet paper (hey, there’s a theme for ‘ya).
Anyway, I’m happy to report that I’ve found the ultimate Theme: The Thesis Theme. I can’t tell you how much easier it is to not only design and edit this blog but also enjoy enhanced SEO benefits with every post I write.
One other thing I want to say about Wordpress (like Facebook and Twitter): there is a boatload of developers out there who have created insanely great add-ons (called plugins) just for Wordpress (this is what makes Wordpress and the Thesis Themes the only choice for blogging). I’m utilizing too many plugins to list here BUT I have to say that one of my favorites is WP Affiliate Pro (an enormous time saver when writing about products for which I’m an Affiliate of).
Back to this blog, if you do nothing else here, always be sure to check the ‘Must Read’ tab at the top of the blog. That page will show you articles or posts that I consider…uh….’must reads’ (for instance, if you’re into PPC advertising, you’ll want to see my post about PPC Tools.
