what’s most amazing is that the 3d printing process can print with moveable pieces. The color is still very expensive, but will eventually come down in price like everything else.
The price for 3d Printers for the home are coming down also – we have finally got the pricing within the $1,000 range for small scale (roughly $35-$40,000 for large scale at the time of this post)
Almost unimaginable to think that everyone will have a 3d printer in their house in the next five to seven years.

That is so cool! It seems that the future is hear. I wonder if, once this technology becomes more mainstream, if the price of manufacturing goods will decrease because less is needed to create duplicate parts?
Funny thing–the TED videos (if you don’t know TED, google it) recently featured a discussion how this could be the year of the 3D printer. REally incredible stuff.
