Today’s Cool Site of the Day is Songza
Today’s Cool Site of the Day comes from The Observer’s VSL editors… As great as the invention of the iPod has been, sometimes we forget just how pleasurable it is to listen to the radio. With the Web site Songza, you get to have the best of both worlds, as you can program your very own show, and listen to your friends’ stations, too—all for free. It’s remarkably easy to set up: Simply sign in, and you can begin picking from Songza’s (rather impressive) 8,000,000 song choices. But if you are feeling a little bit more adventurous and ready to stray from your own playlist, you can collaborate or listen in with friends or co-workers or even strangers. The site suggests other people’s playlists (we found plenty of kindred spirits), and, perhaps best of all, you can see what songs are queued up to play next, so unlike regular radio stations, there can be no disappointing surprises.
See it and rate it here (ONLY on the day featured. Otherwise, click the thumbnail image of the website, or visit the Still Cool Archive) -
