brainy history 1969So, today is my birthday (spread some love in the comment box below…just kidding) and I decided that I would feature whatever site appeared as the first listing in Google when searching for 2 of my childhood obsessions: Led Zeppelin and Tom Seaver (funny how some obsessions never leave you–Tom Seaver, where are you when we need you?!).

Anyway, today’s ‘Cool Site of the Day’ is Brainy History’s page of events in 1969 — THAT is the page that appeared at the top of the search results because it includes these bits of fond memories for me….

  • January 17 Debut album of Led Zeppelin released in US
  • July 4 140,000 attend Atlanta Pop Festival featuring Led Zep and Janis Joplin
  • July 9 Tom Seaver’s no-hit bid against Cubs ends with 1 out in 9th
  • October 29 Tom Seaver voted NL Cy Young Award
  • November 20 San Francisco Giant Willie McCovey edges Tom Seaver as NL MVP

Those memories will surely make this a great day. I recommend you do the same thing; on your birthday (or even right now!), do a search for 2 or 3 things that really mean a lot to you and see if any webpages address a little of each. I’d love to know your results so post a comment below and, definitely, SHARE this Post with your friends.

Finally, visit and rate today’s Cool Site of the Day. Thanks.

Peace and love,

P.S. If 2 of your favorite things are related to Tom Seaver and Led Zeppelin, then we should go on a camping trip together.
